Stunning lecture at Cosmetorium 2022

Patrick Gonry gave a lecture at COSMETORIUM in Barcelona in October 2022 about replacing microplastics in cosmetics formulations.

Although microplastics are deeply rooted in our personal care industry, the consumer expect that they are banned from all cosmetics. This demand is a game changer for the formulator. Suddenly all formulations have become old fashion, as microplastics are everywhere. One on one substitutes do mainly exist in brochures.

This workshop provided practical and detailed solutions how to formulate for the future. A sustainable microplastic free future.

Possibilities and limitations to replace carbomers, acrylates, PVP, silicone elastomers and polyquats in shampoos, conditioners, gels, peel off masks and emulsions are demonstrated.
